As we remember, Dawson and Joey used to be close friends since childhood until Joey realized that she wanted more than friendship. Dawson wasn’t ready for a love affair with his best girlfriend and fell in love with Jen. Jen understood soon, that their relationship was a mistake and they decided to be just friends. After a while Dawson found out that he loves Joey very much, but he had refused her earlier. They started going out and some time later Joey proposed Dawson to try to go out with other people, she thought it would be good for them.
